Rx for the Planet with Dr. Thom is an alien-endorsed publication. Unfortunately, other civilizations don’t use Apple Pay or cash apps. To support my work and theirs, use your CC to become a paid subscriber.
Why subscribe? I share life-changing truths that make you more intelligent.
I don’t mean intelligent in the form of book knowledge, brain exercises, AI tips, or even the inspiring information found on other Substack newsletters.
I draw my writing from the truth that you and I aren’t evolving from an accidental past. Humans are returning to their roots in the stars. I call this re-evolution.
Embrace that truth and you can feel the next dimension of consciousness beckon. You begin to sense the secrets of human purpose and the power of an intelligent universe.
Another truth to acknowledge? Your journey is guided and supported. A vast array of star-based ‘cousins’ who form a galactic community await reunion with Earth. They listen for your call. They help write this newsletter.
And who am I? Find out here.
Act kind,
Dr. Thom
Going on a picnic with 15 teenagers doesn’t sound relaxing, but it was.
The location helped. My students and I had biked in a leisurely line along a narrow road, the shoreline on one side and lush jungle overhang on the other. After 30 minutes, a small path wove its way to a long white sand beach with quiet lagoons facing a translucent South China Sea. We followed the path and encamped.
Pure sunshine. Palm trees waved in a warm breeze. No hotels within two hundred miles. No one but us.
Who was us? A mix of Malay, Chinese, and Indian boys and girls, with one 25-year old white guy from Southern California helping set up the badminton net. They called me ‘Mr. Thom.’
None of them could swim. That surprised me. As a beach boy myself, I’d been in the water since age four.
If I noticed anything else, it was their kindness and softness. This was not just pre-social media—the year was 1967—it was prior to events four years later in Malaysia, when race riots led to mass killings.
That day, there was just laughter, humor, conversation, and good food. They liked one another, and I liked them.
In fact, I’ve always liked teenagers. They are ‘souls in becoming’ as I think of them. That mix of appreciation and acceptance worked well for me as a teacher in a remote secondary school on the East Coast of Malaya, as well as years later in its exact opposite: A large comprehensive high school in one of the most affluent counties in the U.S.
I remember the teens from the wealthier school as clearly as those at the picnic. Despite their privileges, many of my students were troubled by life. One day I took the entire class out to the football field, put a metal wastebasket in the center of a circle, and gave them each a slip of paper.
I asked them to write down one memory or habit they wanted to leave behind. “Now throw it in the wastebasket,” I told them.
When the can was full, I set the pile of papers on fire. We watched them burn. “They’re gone,” I said.
The outing was a huge hit. A few months later, one of my angriest students came up to me and gave me a shy sideways look. “Can we do that ‘burning thing’ again?” he asked.
Teenagers know how they feel and what they need. The soul tells them.
If you never thought about it, it’s time: Aliens have children, too.
The process is different than humans, but every species reproduces.
Every species teaches their young. That’s necessary to growth, even in the stars.
And aliens know the right methods. I’ll get to those in a moment.
First, let’s review how Earth does it. For 10,000 years or more, indigenous societies used the material at hand. The environment offered opportunity for exploration, observation, and mastery necessary for survival. Elders provided expertise and techniques to be copied.
‘Civilization’ changed the game. Society began to incarcerate youth in closed spaces and force compliance, an approach that has endured for a long while. Plenty of hieroglyphics recovered in Ancient Egypt show students in rows in classrooms writing on tablets and complaining about homework.
The basic premise—to shape the mind by instilling the proper information—still prevails.
But the Messengers make clear our system of control will not endure.
I can report firsthand that schools are changing. I’ve worked with over 6000 teachers and 400 schools globally over 25 years. I know the trends. In a technology-driven, connected world with infinite access to knowledge, conventional curriculum delivered through the silos of subjects is obsolete. So is standardized testing.
Many educators recognize this. They feel the future, even if they resist it.
In any case, argument is futile. Artificial intelligence will transfer power from the teacher to the learner, making control impossible and transformation inevitable.
This does not mean that adults will yield control willingly as AI impacts learning. Prepare for predictions of disaster and wailing about the end of civilization. But from the standpoint of our guides in the stars—the Messengers who know and practice a universal form of learning—the shift is the best possible news. An education revolution led by students will liberate global youth.
Right now, the great fear that AI will overwhelm children and substitute mechanical learning for true thinking has taken hold in schools. But when control is released, educators and society at large will begin to witness the opposite effect: An expansion of human intelligence and creativity.
Why? Because children across the globe are ready for the moment.
For several decades, the Messengers have sounded an alert: Your children are different now. Either children recently born (particularly after 2012) have experienced life on other planets or entered earthly life through a window of accelerated energies—or both.
Either way, children arrive inherently attuned to the next dimension of time and space rather than to the demands and rules of third dimensional life. They gravitate to the mind rather than a biochemical brain. Very likely, for them AI is not a new technology.
It is predictable that this influx will speed up as re-evolution culminates. A few weeks ago I reported that some Messengers tell us that every child born in 2025 and beyond will arrive from a previous lifetime on another planet. Without confirmation, I don’t present this as a fact.
But true or not, we’ve been told for over 30 years that a legion of young people with a long spiritual history have volunteered to enrich Earth’s talent pool and provide creative support for the rigors of a fourth dimensional transformation.
That means compliance to earthly norms is not part of their mission. They’re less equipped to live ‘normal’ lives than to help us enter the next world.
The mission is as diverse as Earth itself, but we should expect youth to be disrupters as well as changemakers. Their core purpose is utterly clear: They’re here to make very big waves on a planet that needs to clean up old habits, rethink human capability, acknowledge the power of the mind, and develop the empathy and habits of unconditional acceptance.
Designing an education system that welcomes innovation and disruption will need to be the focus for the forseeable future. AI is a convenient tool but the inner dynamic driving educational upheaval is far more powerful: A tightly controlled system cannot place boundaries around an aroused spirit that seeks freedom to create.
And they will continue to join together to force the issue. By virtue of birth at this time, they share a common mission. Our children are also children of the Messengers. The long term mission is to help our planet recover the soul and learn to educate the soul.
That’s the real secret species on other planets know about learning. The Messengers educate their young by intentionally cultivating the growth and expansion of the soul.
Thanks to books such as We, the Arcturians, it’s possible to get a good snapshot of methods used across the stars, as led by the Arcturians, who claim to be master educators and describe a process used by all advanced planets:
The process begins with designating the wisest of elders to teach the young. The initial goal is to open the young to the universal flow of intelligent energy, which requires a deep familiarity with the energies of light and love, a mutual orientation to unconditional love, and a soul connection for exchange of information.
As their connection to Source deepens and the soul responds, the young become more receptive to energies necessary to become proficient co-creators. Able to manipulate energies through love and tap into energies of light, they learn to create ‘products’ through visualization and intention, eventually attaining adult status as co-creators.
The growth of the soul is the sole metric of their progress. On Earth, multiple choice tests measure progress. For the Messengers, the test is more direct: The light quotient in the aura directly reflects the soul’s vibratory rate. The faster the rate, the greater the growth and mastery of creative powers.
It’s the perfect, and ultimate, assessment system. You always know your grade, but you’re never judged.
For Earth, acknowledging the soul is a few decades away. But it’s perfectly possible for classic education, as it yields to the forces of change, to respond as if the soul exists.
I call it the inside out approach. Allow more freedom, teach with more love, lighten controls, and encourage positive contribution to more beautiful future. Focus on deep, sincere mentoring that aligns teachers and students as co-learners. Think release and relationships.
A world-wide shift in learning that honors the soul and the individual would bring change far beyond what we expect. In westernized systems, children would be less depressed. Control invites more trauma than we realize.
Neurodiversity would cease to be a negative attribute. Creativity would explode. Thankfully, test scores would decline, which—as false measures of learning—they should.
In place of standard measures, a flurry of prodigies would appear. Thirteen-year olds aren’t really 13, except in Earth years.
Another unintended outcome? The wisdom of indigenous cultures and learning through the ecosystem of Nature would bloom again, allowing diverse minds to reconnect with Earth. Consider what is visible already. The Māori word for autism is Takiwātanga, which translates to "in their own time and space". First Nations in Australia have begun to develop a Periodic Table of Elements more in tune with Nature.
If you’re a parent or teacher, the shift to as if offers a similar soul opportunity. The Messengers who teach their young place empathy and love above all, but never lose sight of accountability. There is training to be done, and conversations to take place.
But the ultimate bond is wholeness. Every being makes the same journey, with the same stops, at different ages, in bodies diverse, and on planets remote.
Teaching and parenting soul to soul is key. We’re in this together. Humility is the watchword.
In all of this, I find an ultimate irony. Much of standardized education is rooted in the culture of the Middle Ages in medieval Europe, in which priests ‘nearer to God’ preached to acolytes sitting on rows of hard benches and writing down every word faithfully to read and study later—the origin of ‘lesson’.
The new lesson? To embrace the soul. That truly moves everyone nearer to God.
